Quality score
A 0–100 fundamental rating blending profitability, growth, valuation, and dividend safety.
What it is
Quality Score is a 0–100 composite rating blending profitability, revenue growth, valuation, and dividend safety. Higher scores indicate stronger fundamental characteristics.
Why it matters
Use quality score to filter out weak names before selling premium or buying LEAPS. A score above 70 means the fundamentals support the stock holding up even if the trade goes against you temporarily. A low quality score on a CSP candidate means you might end up owning a deteriorating business — the opposite of the intended outcome.
How the Long Term tool uses it
The Long Term screen leads with quality score to surface names worth owning for months to years. The starter baskets are organized by quality tier. The CSP Wheel screener implicitly favors quality through trend filters — a stock in a clean uptrend with strong fundamentals is a better Wheel candidate than a cheap name that earns cheap premiums for a reason.
